DustClean: the project of RoboTech for the Shanghai Expo
RoboTech Ltd., academic spin off of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, at the Shanghai Expo presents DustClean: A prototype robot for the automatic sweeping pedestrian areas of the city.
The prototype was developed within the European project DustBot, which had as its objective the creation of an innovative system based on robotic technology for improving urban hygiene management. DustClean has a brush and a small container to collect waste such as papers, cans, cigarette butts, etc..
The robots work 24 hours per day potentially help operators ecological, keeping clean the area in which it operates safely and independently with its sensors.
The project RoboTech Ltd is among the 18 projects selected by the Minister of Tuscans PA and Innovation for the exhibition "Italy innovators, dedicated to Italian technological excellence and will be inaugurated on July 24 inside the Italian Pavilion.
